How the Northern Lights Might Be Messing With Your Body, Mood & Sleep
The Northern Lights are absolutely magical. Most of us stop and stare when we see those swirling colors stretch across the night sky. But did you know that the same solar storms responsible for this beauty can also stir up some unexpected things inside you?
And if you’ve been feeling a little off lately—emotionally, physically, energetically—there might be a reason for that.
What’s Actually Happening?
This weekend and into Monday (June 1–2), the Kp index, which measures geomagnetic activity, is peaking at an 8 out of 9. That’s intense. These kinds of geomagnetic storms don’t just affect satellite systems and radio waves—they can have very real effects on our physical bodies, emotional states, and energetic fields.
In other words: it’s not just the sky that’s being stirred up.
Common Symptoms During Geomagnetic Storms
People who are sensitive to energy shifts might experience:
Headaches
Heart palpitations
Blood pressure fluctuations
Heightened anxiety
Sleep disturbances or vivid dreams
A dip in immune function
Emotional waves that seem to come out of nowhere

💤 Rest: Don’t push yourself if you’re feeling drained or scattered.
