Rest Is Not Lazy: A Reminder to Breathe
I sat down today thinking, "I need to show up. I need to share something with my audience."
But the truth is… showing up consistently doesn’t always look like constant output — especially not for me.
As a Manifestor, my brain and body don’t operate in a traditional 9-to-5 rhythm. I work in short, powerful sprints and then I need deep rest — and I mean serious rest. It's how I'm wired. Maybe you can relate in your own way.
We've Been Conditioned to Ignore the Signals
So many of us have been taught that rest is weakness. That if we’re not hustling, grinding, producing, we’re somehow falling behind.
Let me be clear: that’s not the case.
We all need rest. Especially those of us doing inner work, holding space for others, or navigating big transitions.
One of the biggest shifts for me lately has been this reminder:
Rest is part of the work.
I cannot work without it — not sustainably.
My Body Is Speaking Loudly
Right now, I’ve got a headache pressing into the right front quadrant of my forehead, creeping down into my neck. (Lovely, right?)
It’s my body’s way of saying, “Hey. Enough. Time to pause.”
Even though I’m still tempted to push through, I know I need to share this with you. Not just because it’s real, but because I have a feeling your body may be whispering something similar.
Life Has Been… A Lot
Moving. Packing. Starting a business. Planting season. Designing my closet (yep, even the “small” things feel big right now).
It all adds up.
Stress builds. Tears flow. And sometimes, even the mental load turns into mush.
But I’m remembering:
✨ It’s okay to replenish.
✨ It’s okay to slow down.
✨ It’s okay to not feel guilty about it.
What Lights Me Up
Even in the exhaustion, what continues to energize me is working with my clients. That connection, that purpose — it fuels me.
If you’re here reading this, thank you. Truly.
Being part of this journey with you is part of what lights me up.
