Scorpio New Moon: A Soul-Level Reset, A Chance to Begin Again

There’s something unmistakable about Scorpio energy. It doesn’t tap politely — it knocks on the door of your subconscious, swings it open, and asks you to sit down and be honest with yourself.

And as we approach the Scorpio New Moon on November 20th, the cosmos is inviting all of us into a deeper relationship with our inner world. This isn’t the surface-level kind of “new beginnings.” Scorpio deals in the language of transformation — the kind that asks us to shed skin, let go of what’s expired, and make room for something truer.

But before we even get to the New Moon itself, we’re already in an energetic shift.
Right now, the moon is waning, which is the lowest-energy phase of the lunar cycle. Pair that with last week’s intense solar flares, and it's a perfect storm for exhaustion, emotional dips, or a strong craving for solitude.

If that’s you?
You’re not “off.”
Your body is responding to a natural cycle.

This is the part of the month where rest isn’t optional — it’s wise.

🌑 A Soul Initiation in the Dark

This Scorpio New Moon is what I consider a Soul initiation — a call to descend into the places we don’t usually visit in our daily lives. The deeper emotional layers. The vulnerable truths. The parts of ourselves that quietly whisper, “It’s time.”

Scorpio rules transformation, power, intimacy, death-and-rebirth cycles, and the psychology behind our motives. The days leading up to this New Moon often stir something inside us — a nudge, a discomfort, a moment of “I can’t avoid this anymore.”

This lunar cycle is inviting all of us to:

  • Let go of what’s run its course

  • Break old emotional or mental patterns

  • Acknowledge what we've been avoiding

  • Release our grip on control

  • Invite new beginnings with intention

And for those with personal planets in the late degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), this lunation may feel especially significant — like a chapter-turn moment.

The Uranus Factor: Breakthroughs + Sudden Shifts

The Sun and Moon are opposing Uranus during this New Moon, and that brings an electric, unexpected quality to the energy.
With Uranus involved, you may experience:

✨ sudden insights
✨ surprising revelations
✨ emotional breakthroughs
✨ a desire for freedom
✨ unexpected changes or pivots

Uranus shakes loose anything stagnant. It pushes us toward authenticity and the future we actually want — not the one we’re settling for.

The challenge?
Sometimes this looks messy in the moment.
But the clarity it delivers is worth it.

🧠 Mercury Retrograde + Venus in Scorpio: Rewriting the Inner Script

The New Moon is also conjunct retrograde Mercury, which means much of this cycle is happening internally:

  • old thought patterns resurfacing

  • deep introspection

  • mental rewiring

  • re-evaluating the stories you tell yourself

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio isn’t about tech glitches — it’s about truth-telling.
It draws out what’s been repressed, avoided, or left unspoken.

And Venus nearby brings themes of:

  • relationships

  • finances

  • intimacy

  • values

  • self-worth

All of these may ask for your attention in the week ahead — not to overwhelm you, but to realign you.

💬 A Personal Update: Stretching Into New Territory

In the spirit of transformation… I’m stepping into my own big moment.

I’ve been offered an opportunity to speak at a conference about Human Design.
And let me tell you — I’m excited and terrified in equal measure.

It’s a level I haven’t stepped into before, and saying yes means gracefully bowing out of a yearly trip I take with people I love. That’s brought up guilt, conflict, and the classic “Who am I to do this?” thoughts… but also a very clear knowing:

If I don’t say yes, I’ll regret it.
This is a growth moment — and I’m choosing it.

I’ll share more soon, but you heard it here first.

📚 The Next Book Talk: The Happiness Project

I’m also thrilled to announce that our next Book Talk pick is The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.

It’s the perfect companion for this season of:

  • fresh starts

  • clarity

  • intentional living

  • tuning into what genuinely matters

More details and the reading schedule will be coming shortly — stay tuned!

💙 Final Thoughts: Let This Be an Initiation

This Scorpio New Moon is here to remind us that:

  • endings create space

  • rest is sacred

  • truth is liberation

  • and every transformation starts with a moment of honesty

If you’ve been feeling tired, pulled inward, or emotionally heavy — honor it.
You’re not falling behind.
You’re getting ready for a reset.

This is a powerful month for release, revelation, and rebirth.
Let the transformation unfold.
Let life surprise you.
And trust yourself through it.

I’m right here beside you.
Always.
