From ‘Don’t Let Me Get Me’ to Finally Being Me

Music has this way of reflecting back who we are — or sometimes, who we were.
On my drive home today, one of my old favorite songs came on the radio: “Don’t Let Me Get Me” by P!nk.

Back in the day, that song used to break me wide open. I’d sing it and cry because I felt it — deep in my bones.
I believed I was my own worst enemy.

But today, as I listened, I realized something powerful:
I wasn’t broken. I wasn’t my enemy.
I was just too scared to be myself… mostly because I didn’t even know who that was.

The girl who didn’t know herself

For years, I tried to be the version of me that everyone else would accept — the one who fit in, played it safe, followed the rules.
It wasn’t that I didn’t want to be me… I just didn’t know how.

Learning to see myself differently

Over time, through inner work, shadow work, and learning my Human Design, I started uncovering the parts of me I had hidden away.
The weirdness, the quirks, the emotions — all the things I used to think made me “too much” — actually made me me.

Now, I understand my triggers.
I can catch myself when I’m out of alignment.
(As a Manifestor, my “Not-Self” theme is Anger — and when I feel it, I know I’m pushing against something that’s not right for me.)

What alignment really feels like

When you’re living your true self and following your path, that’s when you feel whole.
That’s where confidence and clarity come from.

But getting there isn’t easy — it takes awareness, unlearning, and courage.
We’ve been conditioned most of our lives to strive, compare, and conform — when in truth, we were never meant to fit one mold.

You are your own lane.
You are your own frequency.

So if you’ve been feeling “off,” maybe it’s not because something’s wrong with you — maybe you’ve just drifted away from yourself.

It’s time to come home. 💫

Self-discovery isn’t about becoming someone new — it’s about remembering who you were before the world told you otherwise.
And that journey? It’s worth everything.

If this message hit home, explore your own Human Design or start your self-discovery journey with me. Start here.
