Trust, Timing, and the Shifts Beneath the Surface

The past few months have been asking me — maybe you, too — to loosen my grip on what I thought I was building. To trust the pauses, the quiet moments, the in-betweens that don’t quite make sense yet.

So when I started feeling the nudge to let go of something I’ve loved for a long time — my time at Grit — I resisted. But the signs kept coming: through the cards, in quiet conversations, and in that unmistakable intuitive whisper.

Now, standing here with just two shifts left, I feel both tenderness and peace. It’s a strange, beautiful mix of nostalgia and knowing. Because sometimes, you have to release what’s good to make room for what’s right.

This theme — of letting go, grounding, and trusting timing — mirrors exactly what’s happening in the skies this week.

The Beaver Moon in Taurus: Building New Foundations

On November 5th, we welcome the Full Beaver Moon in Taurus, a sign of stability, patience, and tangible security. Traditionally, this was the time when beavers built their lodges for the winter — a symbolic invitation for us to prepare our own foundations: emotional, financial, spiritual, and relational.

This isn’t just any Full Moon, though —this is a Supermoon, meaning it’s closer to Earth — and its pull, both gravitational and emotional, is stronger. Supermoons amplify what we feel and what’s ready to be released.

Taurus energy invites us to slow down and honor the beauty of what’s steady. But with Mars, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all making strong aspects, there’s also a current of transformation beneath the surface.
We’re being asked to look at where we’ve been holding on too tightly, resisting change out of fear or comfort.

The question this moon brings is:
What in your life needs grounding — and what needs releasing — so you can feel truly secure through the season ahead?

You might find clarity around what you value most, what no longer feels aligned, or where you’ve been craving a sense of stability. It’s a moon for re-rooting into what nourishes your soul.

Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius: Reflection Before Expansion

Just a few days after the Full Moon, on November 9th, Mercury begins its final retrograde of 2025, this time in Sagittarius — the seeker of truth and meaning.

Mercury retrograde isn’t here to create chaos, though it can sometimes feel that way. Its purpose is to slow us down so we can review, rework, and realign. In Sagittarius, this energy focuses on our beliefs, direction, and the bigger picture of our lives.

This is a time to question the stories you tell yourself — to revisit ideas, projects, or dreams that once lit you up but may have been put aside. You might also notice a desire to clarify what feels aligned and what doesn’t.

If communication feels off or plans shift unexpectedly, try to see it as an opportunity to pause rather than push. Sometimes, the redirection is exactly what leads to clarity.

A Season of Slow Growth

Both the Beaver Moon and Mercury Retrograde carry a similar message:

Slow down. Reflect. Rebuild.

This season is not about rushing toward what’s next — it’s about tending to the roots that will support the next version of you.

If you’ve been feeling the pull to simplify or make changes, trust that instinct. The Universe is creating space for something new, even if it’s not yet visible.

Take a few moments this week to ground yourself and reflect:

  • What am I ready to release before the year ends?

  • Where am I craving more stability or peace?

  • What foundations am I ready to strengthen for the season ahead?

You don’t need to have all the answers right now.
You just need to be willing to let go — and trust that what’s meant to come next will find its way in.

How to Work with This Energy

Here are a few gentle ways to navigate this season:

🌿 Ground into your body. Spend time outside, eat grounding foods, and move slowly. Taurus energy loves simple rituals.
🕯️ Revisit old projects or ideas. Mercury retrograde often reveals gold in what we once set aside.
💌 Reflect before reacting. Words carry extra weight now; give your thoughts space before you share them.
📓 Additional Journal prompts:

  • What am I ready to release that no longer supports who I’m becoming?

  • Where in my life do I need to trust timing instead of forcing direction?

  • What feels like “home” to me right now?
